Erthpot transforms BESCOM with conferencing solutions, turning a practical upgrade to meaningful results
Published on 20th March 2026
Erthpot designed and implemented a digital conferencing solution for Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) with a strong focus on speech clarity, operational reliability, and long-term usability. The system was tailored to support structured discussions and seamless interaction in a space frequently used for senior-level meetings and inter-departmental reviews.
BESCOM is a vital component of Karnataka’s power distribution infrastructure, serving one of India’s fastest-growing urban regions. The organisation regularly conducts review meetings, inter-department discussions, and senior-level strategy sessions. In such an environment, dependable communication is essential to smooth operations. To strengthen these interactions, BESCOM chose to modernise its conference room audio system and move beyond limitations that could disrupt critical conversations.
BESCOM’s objective was clear and practical: to create a meeting space where conversations remain natural and uninterrupted. The system needed to support multiple speakers simultaneously, while maintaining consistent and clear audio across the room. Given that the space is frequently used by senior management, the solution also had to be reliable, easy to operate, and capable of delivering professional-grade performance without ongoing technical intervention.
The Integration
The conferencing setup, integrated at BESCOM, included one NCS-5C chairman unit to provide discussion control and meeting management, along with 20 NCS-5D delegate units that enabled every participant to communicate clearly and without interruption. At the core of the system, the NCS-100CU central control unit managed all conferencing audio signals, ensuring smooth communication flow and stable performance throughout meetings.
To further enhance overall audio quality, advanced digital audio routing and signal processing were implemented. The system was supported by the KEYER 44 Digital Signal Processor, which played a critical role in optimising speech intelligibility through precise audio processing, noise control, and signal management. This ensured clear, consistent sound reproduction across all discussions, regardless of meeting size or duration.
Ceiling-mounted loudspeakers were strategically installed to deliver uniform sound coverage throughout the conference room, eliminating dead zones and maintaining balanced audio levels for all participants. The result was a fully integrated, easy-to-operate conferencing environment designed for reliable daily use, requiring minimal technical intervention while delivering professional-grade performance.
After implementation, BESCOM observed immediate improvements in meeting quality. Speech clarity increased, background noise was reduced, and discussions transitioned smoothly between speakers. With technical concerns minimised, participants could focus entirely on collaboration, planning, and informed decision-making.
Conclusion
This project demonstrates Erthpot’s expertise in delivering dependable conferencing solutions for public sector organisations where communication plays a critical role. Through careful planning, effective system design, and reliable technology, BESCOM now benefits from a conference room that supports clarity, efficiency, and professionalism on a daily basis.
