Oliver Systems Limited (OSL), one of the manufacturers of microphones & wireless systems, recently worked as a sound partner for Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW), Asansol, West Bengal, offering its conference room solutions for the installation.

Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW), named after freedom fighter Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das, is a key manufacturing unit of Indian Railways with a legacy dating back to 26 January 1950. Initially focused on steam locomotives, CLW later expanded into diesel and electric locomotive manufacturing. With over 575 electric locomotives manufactured up to March 2021, CLW continues to play a vital role in strengthening India’s rail infrastructure.

The conference room at CLW required an audio-conferencing solution capable of supporting structured discussions, senior-level reviews, and formal administrative meetings with absolute clarity. The system was designed to ensure precise speech intelligibility, disciplined microphone control, and uninterrupted communication during extended meetings.

The installation features a digitally managed conference system architecture, integrating BCS Plus ICC Chairman Conference Units supported by the BCS Plus Server. The system enables effective session moderation, service requests, voting facilities, and includes built-in DSP for feedback suppression and clean audio recording via USB.

Adding to the integration, Mr. Dharam Koli, Pre-Design & Sales Engineer, VMT Enterprise, stated, "The system design prioritised speech clarity, control, and reliability to suit a formal institutional environment. From a pre-design perspective, the solution aligns well with functional requirements and long-term operational expectations.”

Mr. Anindya Bhattacharya, Deputy General Manager – East India, VMT Enterprise, further elaborated, “This project reflects a strong working relationship with the system integrator, built on clear communication and mutual technical understanding. Such collaborations enable smooth execution and consistent delivery for institutional installations.”

Mr. Jeff Mandot, Director, VMT, also commented, “Structured conference systems are becoming essential across large institutions, where clear communication directly influences efficiency and governance. Installations like this demonstrate how reliable, purpose-driven technology continues to raise operational standards across the industry.”

Mr. Anup Kumar Biswas, Managing Director, Satellite Electronics (System Integrator), added, “The project execution was smooth, supported by clear coordination and a well-defined system design. The final installation delivers reliable performance and meets the operational expectations of a formal institutional conference environment.”
