AXYS Integrated Solutions Shapes the Sound of Bangkok-Inspired BANNG in Gurugram

BANNG offers a unique dining experience with vibrant sound by Lynx speakers, integrated for crisp and clear audio

Published on 4th May 2026

Designed to reflect the vibrant energy of Bangkok, BANNG - a new Thai restaurant and bar, opened in Gurugram’s upscale Two Horizon Centre, is a carefully curated restaurant and bar where cuisine, interiors, nightlife, and sound come together. At the heart of this transformation was AXYS Integrated Solutions, entrusted with delivering a complete audio ecosystem that could seamlessly adapt from refined daytime dining to a high-energy nightlife environment.

Helmed by Michelin-starred Chef, Garima Arora in collaboration with F&B stalwart, Riyaaz Amlani of Impresario, BANNG is a carefully curated restaurant and bar, opened in Gurugram’s upscale Two Horizon Centre. At the heart of this transformation was AXYS Integrated Solutions, entrusted with delivering a complete audio ecosystem that could seamlessly adapt from refined daytime dining to a high-energy nightlife environment, extending far beyond aesthetics.

SD Audio Solution, the authorised Lynx Pro Audio distributor for India, delivered and installed the equipment aligned with AXYS’s design vision.

Client’s Brief: Performance Without Compromising Design

One of the key requirements of the client was seamless integration of the audio system with the restaurant’s design language. The indoor speakers had to be painted in the restaurant’s primary interior red colour scheme to visually blend into the design narrative rather than interrupt it.

Execution Timeline: From Design Coordination to Final Calibration

AXYS Integrated Solutions’ involvement spanned around the entire early stage to final phase.

The early stage focused on design coordination, aligning with architects and MEP consultants to ensure the AV system integrated seamlessly with the interior architecture and technical planning.

During the mid-phase execution, the team handled installation, routing, and system integration, ensuring the infrastructure supported performance requirements without disrupting the design intent.

The final phase involved calibration, tuning, and system optimisation before launch, ensuring that sound experience responded accurately to the venue’s operational needs.

Sound Design Philosophy: Built Around Time and Emotion

Sound design at BANNG is built around what AXYS describes as a “time-based arc.” Rather than treating the venue as a single acoustic environment, the system is designed to evolve with the customer journey throughout the day.

Starting with a relaxed, conversational, and textured atmosphere during the early hours, into an energetic yet controlled environment during peak dining periods, and finally transitioning into an immersive, high-impact, bar-forward experience late night, this restaurant ensures that sound supports behaviour rather than compete with it.

Loudspeaker Strategy:

Instead of relying on fewer high-output speakers, the design uses a distributed speaker layout to create uniform coverage across zones.

This strategy includes tight dispersion to avoid spill between zones, height and angle optimisation for listener-level immersion, and subtle low-frequency reinforcement that can be felt but doesn’t overwhelm the visitors.

Dining Zones:

In the dining zones, the system prioritises comfort and clarity over loudness for a conversation-friendly environment.

The design focused on creating a warm tonal balance with slightly rolled-off highs, even and diffused coverage, and strong speech clarity, ensuring guests could enjoy long dining experiences with minimal listener fatigue.

Bar and High-Energy Zones:

As the venue transitions into its nightlife identity, the sound system responds accordingly. The bar and high-energy zones are designed with higher SPL capability, tight low-end control, defined punch without excessive boom, and forward mids for musical presence, creating an atmosphere that feels energetic rather than simply loud.

Outdoor Audio Design:

Outdoor audio presented one of the project’s biggest technical challenges.

Open environments naturally introduce sound loss due to lack of boundaries, environmental noise interference, and the risk of sound spill beyond the venue. For a premium hospitality destination, outdoor sound needed to be present, controlled, and non-intrusive.

The resolution involved using a distributed speaker layout instead of high-output clusters, combined with directional aiming, precise level management, and frequency tuning to maintain clarity and control in open-air conditions. This included:

  • Slightly elevated mid-frequency presence (for clarity)
  • Controlled low-end (to avoid muddy dispersion)
  • Directional projection to maintain intelligibility
  • Multiple low-level speakers across the outdoor area
  • Even spacing to maintain uniform coverage
  • Localized listening zones rather than a single “blast field”
  • Speakers aimed to contain sound within the venue boundary
  • Minimal spill into neighbouring areas (compliance + luxury feel)

The result is a seamless extension of the indoor vibe into the outdoor environment, maintaining continuity across the entire guest journey.

Audio Ecosystem Across Indoor and Outdoor Spaces

More Than an Installation: A Defining Project for AXYS Integrated Solutions

Projects like BANNG are driven by strong interior narratives and so, for AXYS Integrated Solutions, one of the biggest standouts was the alignment with ‘design-first architecture’.

This required the team to integrate audio precisely into the project’s design language while collaborating closely with architects, designers, and consultants from the earliest stages.

Protecting aesthetics while delivering balanced acoustic performance is one of the most difficult aspects of hospitality AV integration. However, Axys’ team achieved both successfully, making this project a significant milestone while building long-term industry trust and reputation.

The Bigger Shift: Hospitality in India as an Experience Industry

According to AXYS Integrated Solutions, projects like BANNG are signals of a structural shift in India’s hospitality landscape.

The industry is moving from traditional food and beverage service toward immersive hospitality experiences and BANNG is a perfect example of this pivot. It is designed as a cultural import of Bangkok, from spatial storytelling and music to cocktails and ingredient sourcing.

Premiumisation is accelerating, and global benchmarks are becoming local expectations. Design, storytelling, and sensory engineering are now just as important as cuisine. Hospitality is no longer just a service industry; it’s an experience industry.

Conclusion

The successful audio integration at BANNG demonstrates how sound can shape identity, influence behaviour, and elevate hospitality beyond traditional expectations. Through careful planning, precision placement, and a design-first approach, AXYS Integrated Solutions delivered a complete sound ecosystem that supports every phase of the guest journey, delivering intimate dining moments to high-energy nightlife experiences.
