Q-SYS Promotes Duncan Savage to Vice President and General Manager APAC

Q-SYS, a division of QSC, EMEA GmbH, announced the promotion of Duncan Savage to Vice President and General Manager, APAC. Concurrently, after five years of dedicated service, William Chan, Managing Director & Senior Director, North Asia, will retire in July 2024. The Q-SYS brand has been built over several years in the APAC region, and the company has seen tremendous success and growth as a result. With the appointment of Duncan Savage, Q-SYS is further investing in the region, enabling regional development and new business opportunities.

Duncan joined the company in 2017 as Managing Director, UK, and under his leadership, the UK organisation has grown well beyond its initial scope, now reaching end customers in corporate and higher education segments and covering the Q-SYS markets in the Nordics, Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, and EMEA cinema. Duncan's vision has been a critical part of the team's growth, from the inaugural London showroom to the globally acclaimed 'Architect' training program, culminating in the launch of the EMEA region's first Q-SYS Experience Centre. He has also led the team in establishing direct business relationships with key accounts, collaborating with local distributors, and creating a network of consultants and programmers across Europe.

"Duncan brings with him nearly two decades of experience in the AV industry and a wealth of knowledge from his work in the European market. His experience and expertise will be invaluable in orchestrating and leading the local teams, and I look forward to seeing the future continued development of our business in APAC under his leadership," says Markus Winkler, Executive Vice President, EMEA & APAC, Q-SYS.

"As we move into this exciting next chapter, we would like to express our highest appreciation to William Chan for his dedication over the past five years in building the APAC business to where it is today. We wish him all the best for his retirement," continues Winkler.

"I'm proud and honoured to be leading the APAC region during this exciting period of growth," says Duncan. "I look forward to working with our talented regional teams to drive new conversations in these markets and continue to develop collaboration across the current Q-SYS network in EMEA and the APAC region."
