Allwave Engaged to revamp Fleet Management Training Institute

Fleet Management Training Institute (FMTI) is one of the world’s largest independent third-party ship management firms with a 24 year old history. FMTI is a Maritime Training Center certified by DGS and DNV-GL. FMTI is an internationally recognized third-party ship management firm, subsidiary of caravel group limited.

Project Highlight:

Today, interactivity and use of technology have become increasingly important. Acknowledging this, FMTI, approached Allwave-AV for their expertise in providing the right technology solutions to create interactive environment. They wanted to enhance the interactions between faculty and students during sessions.

Challenge: Create a dedicated and interactive training Sessions.

FMTI services needs to meet the applicable international requirements while maintaining precise trainings. Smooth collaborations between students and faculty are imperative. This created the need to have a high-quality and high-reliability collaboration network as a platform for their trainings.

Allwave-AV was engaged to design and build this platform for them. The audio-visual system required a major update that needed to be completed by January 2018. The project involved creating and integrating Meeting rooms, Training rooms, Boardrooms, Open Office Areas and Cafeterias.

At Navi Mumbai Seawoods, a dedicated meeting, training and boardrooms was envisaged to put the latest collaboration technologies at disposal of their entire team.

Solution:

The FMTI team defined flexibility of use, high clarity communication and digital data sharing as their priorities to achieve operations efficiency. They decided to create Boardrooms, Meeting rooms, Training rooms, Open Office Spaces, Cafeterias.

Of these, boardrooms were setup using high-definition video conferencing system to connect with outside world. This makes cross-location meetings possible more frequently, at short notice and with a lower investment of executive time and costs.

The Boardrooms consist of table top mics, ceiling mounting projector, ceiling speakers, video conferencing camera. Boardroom consists of a server rack that occupies minimal space and forms the backbone of this AV setup.

Of these, meeting rooms, training rooms are setup with projectors screens that display high-impact digital data. They are also equipped with mics and ceiling speakers to ensure speech is audible in all parts of the room.

As organizations continue to grow and demand performance that is up to international standards, collaborations becomes business critical function.

Final Impression:

By enabling interactive learning tools, the institute has been able to create a flexible and dynamic environment. These solutions have helped FMTI to produce creative and interactive training sessions.
