Lumens Partners with Iris to Re-define PTZ Control

Lumens Digital Optics Inc announced a partnership with Iris which will enable direct cloud-based PTZ camera control. With this announcement, Lumens will embed Iris software into its cameras allowing users to control their devices and manage multi-site camera installations.

Iris, one of the leaders in AI-powered camera control technology, will provide Lumens camera users with a low latency, easy-to-use solution that will radically change how video is controlled, managed and produced.

"We think that this will be a breakthrough for professionals in education, corporate environments, broadcasting, and live events," commented Steven Liang, Head of Product Development at Lumens Digital Optics Inc. "Although cloud-production is not new, until now it has been complex and has required active management. The Iris platform is stable, simplifies the process and has a user interface that is very intuitive."

The Iris solution will be particularly attractive to customers working across multiple sites, and organizations that need to streamline their operation. As an AI-powered cloud-based system, Iris can offer new functionality to customers without any update to the camera firmware, making it a highly future-proofed platform.

"Partnering with Lumens allows us to bring Iris to a global audience." said Noah Johnson, CEO of Iris. "With Iris now integrated into Lumens cameras, users can experience direct cloud control right out of the box. We're simplifying the video production process, offering a groundbreaking way for users to interact with their cameras for the first time."
