NETGEAR Expands its Smart Switch Lineup with the Launch of MS108TUP

NETGEAR MS108TUP 8-Port Multi-Gigabit (2.5G) Ethernet Ultra60 PoE++Smart Switch for growing businesses that need all-in-one, reliable and seamless connectivity

NETGEAR, one of the leading providers of networking products that power businesses both large and small, launched the NETGEAR MS108TUP 8-Port Multi-Gigabit (2.5G) Ethernet Ultra60 PoE++Smart Switch, purpose-built for growing businesses that need all-in-one, reliable, seamless connectivity.

The growing number of connected devices, use of data-and-power-hungry applications and increasing prevalence of "bring your own device" make it increasingly important for small and mid-sized businesses to have a modern networking solution to drive better performance. NETGEAR's cutting-edge line of Smart Switches is now joined by a new model that provides an option to business owners with smaller port count needs without sacrificing quality.

NETGEAR's Total Network Solution

The MS108TUP is part of the NETGEAR Total Network Solution, combining the recently announced PR60X Pro Router, Pro WiFi Access Points, and Insight cloud management platform, helping small businesses to take advantage of the latest networking connectivity all from a single vendor. The uniform connection between devices allows for faster setup and more comprehensive management, ultimately giving business owners more time back to focus on the work of running their companies.

"Today's small and mid-sized businesses are more connected than ever, with WiFi-enabled tools powering day-to-day operations. These applications require multi-gigabit speeds and high PoE power to maximize their potential," said Iphie Chen, Senior SMB Product Line Manager at NETGEAR. "Business owners need solutions that cater to their specific needs while being easy to deploy and manage, especially for those that do not have IT resources onsite. As part of the Total Network Solution, the MS108TUP switch offers the speed, efficiency, reliability, and peace of mind of an enterprise solution without the associated complexity or price."

With four PoE++ ports, the MS108TUP can accommodate today's high-powered PoE++ powered devices, such as NETGEAR Pro WiFi Access Points, making it ideal for growing businesses. It offers impressive features such as multi-gigabit (2.5G) ports, enabling optimal performance by automatically adjusting speeds to match device requirements. Additionally, advanced functionality including IPv6 management, Access Control Lists (ACL), DiffServ QoS, IPv4 Static Routing, and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) contribute to improved network performance, flexibility, and efficiency.

While a built-in web GUI management interface is included, setting up and managing the switch is even more convenient through the NETGEAR Insight cloud management platform. Insight provides comprehensive remote configuration and troubleshooting for NETGEAR Pro Routers, Pro WiFi Access Points, and Smart Cloud Managed Switches.

Furthermore, NETGEAR stands behind the product's reliability with a Limited Lifetime Warranty and 24/7 technical support, ensuring peace of mind and expert assistance when needed.

Additional technical specifications include:

8 multi-gigabit (2.5G) ethernet ports for flexible and auto-adaptive wired connectivity of high bandwidth devices - Connect devices instantly and give each device exactly the speed they need: 1G or 2.5G, automatically.

230W PoE budget available across 4 PoE++ (802.3bt 60W/port) and 4 PoE+ (802.3at 30W/port) ports - Connect multiple devices to your network with a single wire to each for connectivity and power.

Advanced per-port PoE controls - Flexible power management of PoE connected devices by enabling and disabling PoE power per port, PoE prioritization, PoE power limit per port, PoE scheduling and more. Simplifies management of wireless APs, IP security cameras, LED lighting, secure access door locks, IoT devices and more.

Uninterrupted PoE - Continuous PoE power, even when the switch is updating firmware or performing a software reboot.

PoE Self-Healing - Monitors the status of connected devices and provides a way to reset them if they become unresponsive or stop working properly.

Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) for maximum power savings - Latest energy-saving capabilities including per-port automatic change to a lower power mode when the port link is down, or idle.

Silent, fanless desktop operation - Silent operation with no fan noise for a quiet business environment.
