CAVS (Certified AV Specialist) training Bengaluru Concludes with Resounding Success

Emphasizes Need for Indian AV Industry Identity and Self-Sufficiency

The 6th edition of CAVS (Certified AV Specialist) course, organised by AV-ICN, successfully concluded its Bengaluru edition from February 13-15, 2025. The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the AV industry professionals in Bengaluru, with 46 participants from leading AV companies and organisations like - Transcon IT Solutions, 4 Squares Corporation, Ideas Ahead AV Solutions Pvt Ltd, Salient Tech, Auro AV Tech, Clarity Consultant, Online Instruments, SMARTOMATION, Awan India, Infosys, and many more, registering and attending the certification program.

The CAVS training program, launched in 2019, had completed five successful editions before the Bengaluru edition, with three being organised in Mumbai and one in Ahmedabad. The CAVS certification is a significant step towards galvanizing professionalism in the AV industry and is designed to replace the traditional 'electrician' approach with a more specialised and qualified integrator, creating a talent pool with specific learning for AV integration.

The CAVS Bengaluru edition was held in the heart of Bengaluru at St. Marks Hotel in Shanthala Nagar and featured an expert-led training program, designed to impart comprehensive knowledge of AV principles, standards, protocols, and best practices.

|
|
The training program covered three comprehensive modules: AUDIO, led by Narendra Naidu of Rhino Engineers Pvt Ltd, focusing on soundwaves, signals, and acoustics, etc.; VIDEO, led by Arif Patil of Eyte Technologies Pvt. Ltd., exploring aspect ratios, resolutions, and transmission media; and IT & NETWORKING, led by Satyanarayana Reddy of The Siemon Company, covering network basics, power over Ethernet, and AV over IP and more.

Besides gaining valuable insights and comprehensive knowledge, the participants engaged in interactive sessions and networking opportunities with industry peers.
|
|
|

Anil Chopra welcomed participants to the CAVS training program, emphasizing the need for a certified course “in India, for India”. He acknowledged Narendra Naidu, Arif Patil and Satyanarayan Reddy’s support, highlighting their commitment to the program.

Chopra emphasised that the Indian AV industry requires an identity, and CAVS is the new identity. He encouraged participants to carry the CAVS certification with pride and consider the certification as a gateway to the Indian AV industry.

|
The speech also focused on the importance of Indian AV manufacturing, emphasizing the need to create products, brands, and manufacturing in India for AV products. Chopra encouraged participants to think beyond established companies and focus on Indian AV product design and manufacturing. He cited Online Instruments’ LOGIC, a company manufacturing displays in India, as an example, and thanked LOGIC for sponsoring the interactive display for CAVS.

He concluded by thanking participants for their time, investment and sacrifice, reiterating that CAVS is a crucial step in giving the Indian AV industry its own identity. The speech ended with a call to action, emphasizing the need for Indian manufacturing and self-sufficiency in the AV industry.
